One of the alleged "real housewives of DC" actually crashed last night's state dinner.

Word is that the producers had a very hard time finding any women of a "certain social status" in DC to sign on for the show. None of Washington's most notable hostesses would touch the gig with a ten foot pole, for fear of never being able to attract another Washington insider or political celebrity to one of their parties. Discretion and understated exclusivity are kind of big in this town.

But it looks like they're finding some excellent wannabes and media whores out in the suburbs!

7. "My mom, the wannabe actor"

Over Thanksgiving she said she went to a gallery opening or art show or something in her neighborhood and one of these RWers was involved. She was the artist, maybe? (This was about 20 past beer o'clock.) Anyway, she said the stuff was good, and the girl was nice and they had a good conversation.

I was like, well, you won't be on unless you signed a release. And she was like, all, "Everyone there had to sign a release."

Then she went out and did body shots with the cast. But they'll probably show that and totally leave out the gallery thing -- stoopid editors.
